Sanjiv Gupta, President & Chief Executive Officer

A technology and supply chain expert, Sanjiv brings over 20 years of experience in operations, sales and information technology to his role as CEO of VSSOD. Having worked across high tech, software, electronics, manufacturing and engineering companies, he has a deep understanding of business processes and operations across these domains. His understanding of domestic and international business encompasses direct sales as well as indirect sales via various channels.

He has held key roles at both large and small enterprises, including SAP America, Flextronics (formerly Solectron), Enlighta, TE Connectivity (Tyco Electronics), Intelligroup, Tata Technologies, and Larsen & Toubro. Across these roles, he has effectively managed diverse teams and large budgets. Sanjiv has a proven record of launching and delivering complex ecosystem impacting projects such as a global intercompany pricing and logistics initiative for Tyco Electronics, and lean planning and execution initiative for Cisco and its Manufacturing Partners.

Sanjiv holds dual MBAs from UC Berkeley (CA) & Columbia University (NY), and a B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, India.

Dinesh Somani, Vice President, Product Development

Dinesh is an accomplished technology and finance professional with over 20 years of experience in securities and investments, IT research and software product development. Dinesh has a history of excellence in designing and building large, complex, industrial strength software solutions across a wide range of industries, including financial securities, transaction processing and internet technology. He has over 20 years of experience working with some of the largest global players in finance, including Blue Analytics, Reuters/Tibco, Infoseek, Quote.com, Visa International, BGI (now Blackrock), BZW, Goldman Sachs and Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup). Most recently he cofounded and led research and product development at MilkorWater, an investment analytics startup. An avid reader and hiker, in his spare time he has also provided business counseling to small businesses at SCORE, taught chess to children and securities & investments to engineers.

Dinesh holds an MS in Quantitative & Computational Finance from Georgia Tech, a BS (Honors) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from BITS-Pilani and is a CFA charterholder.

Venkatesh Appanna, Vice President, Engineering

Venkatesh brings over 20 years of technology experience ranging across various industry segments and geographies, consistently delivering high-quality software solutions and projects. Having worked at various Fortune 100 companies assisting them in their SAP implementations, he has in-depth expertise delivering solutions of varying complexities in IT processes for enterprise-wide applications. Venkatesh has built and managed medium to large cross-functional teams for companies including Avaya, Genentech, Shell Oil, Pacer Logistics, Al-Futtaim and Clorox.

Along with executing complex implementations, Venkatesh has provided custom solutions across a variety of industries, including high tech, biotech, oil & gas, transportation, retail and consumer Industries. His core expertise lies in architecting and developing scalable applications to address gaps in software provided by big enterprise vendors in a wide range of areas, including revenue recognition, manufacturing, order management, quality management and procurement. His holistic knowledge of business execution processes has made him a pioneer in envisioning tools and techniques to make process management a less complex and more intuitive endeavor.

Venkatesh holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, India. He also holds an Advanced Project Management certification from Stanford University (CA).
